Bears' Cave

Far beyond the borders of the country, the Bear Cave (Bärenhöhle) in the Langenbach Valley near Rodalben is known as a natural monument. It is the largest natural rock cave in the Palatinate and houses a spring with a waterfall. It is very popular with hikers, as it is located directly on the Rodalber Rock Trail (Rodalber Felsenwanderweg) and invites you to rest and pause with seating groups. The Bear Cave is also easy to reach with a short walk along the Langenbachtalweg, which is also ideal for children. Guided tours are offered regularly (More information at www.g-ig.de).
