Castle complex Alt-Dahn - Grafendahn - Tanstein

Dahn · Pfalz

The ruins of the three fortifications are perched on five adjacent red sandstone rocks. The castles are first mentioned in documents in the first half of the 12th century. With a length of almost 200 metres, the castle cluster is one of the largest medieval fortifications in the Palatinate. The castles were largely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. You can examine interesting finds in the castle cluster's museum.
