RheinBurgenWeg Stage 7: Koblenz–Rhens (north–south)

The seventh stage of the RheinBurgenWeg (RBW) follows a long access path from Deutsches Eck through the park along the Rhine before cutting up through the Koblenz forest to the Rittersturz viewpoint. Here, you pass the cradle of the Federal Republic of Germany before travelling back in time to the age of the Celts on the Dommelsberg. The trail then meanders through sprawling woodlands and past romantic Stolzenfels Castle. This section of the RBW comes to a right royal end in Rhens where it’s worth taking a detour to see the Königsstuhl or king’s throne of stone.
