Woman power meets old house It is love at first sight. Juli Norden, a single mother without the security of a family behind her, has to reorganise her life and create a new home. She comes to the Moselle and falls head over heels in love with a townhouse in need of renovation that is already over 100 years old. She has no previous experience of handicrafts, but nevertheless sets about sprucing up the house in a do-it-yourself way. The woman is herself! Norden has written a project diary about the work, in which she makes one thing clear in a humorous and thoroughly self-deprecating way: you can do anything, but not let it get you down. On Friday, 1 July, Norden will read from her diary "Zweihundertneunzehn Quadratmeter Glück" (Two Hundred and Nineteen Square Metres of Happiness) at the Cusanus Birthplace in Bernkastel-Kues and report on how she fared as a master builder.An event in cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Bernkastel-Kues Municipality and the Cultural Office of the City of Bernkastel-Kues.
