Moselle and vineyards characterize the landscape around Bernkastel-Kues. On a route of about 2 km we walk along the nature trail "Lizard loves Riesling" through the vineyards above the town. Due to the Mediterranean climate, we find, in addition to the vine, a lush flora and fauna in the vineyards covered by slate, some of which are very steep. Through nature- and culture-related stories, children learn about the annual cycle of the vine, experience connections between weather and growth, and discover the biodiversity in the vine rows and dry stone walls of the Moselle vineyards with all their senses.
