Wittlicher Konzerte - VILLA MUSICA & Tschechische Kammermusikakademie

The Villa Musica Rhineland-Palatinate is a foundation established in 1986 by the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate with the participation of Südwestrundfunk. The purpose of the foundation is to promote young musicians and to organise concerts. The Musikkreis Stadt Wittlich is pleased to be able to offer an annual Villa Musica cooperation concert in its concert series.

Tomas Jamink, cellist and born in Prague in 1985, is a former scholarship holder of the Villa Musica Rhineland-Palatinate. Following the example of the Rhineland-Palatinate regional foundation, he founded his Czech Chamber Music Academy at home, which has supported some of the most important young soloists and ensembles from the Czech Republic over the past 20 years. For the past 10 years, the two institutions have been closely linked through a cooperation.
